Here’s a tip… when you’ve only got time, realistically, to apply a couple of coats of emulsion to a ceiling, don’t start out trying to paint another Sistine Chapel!
The truth is, as with so many things, we launched v.1.0 of akutrs.co.uk with high hopes and even higher ambitions that it would be an all-singing, all-dancing add-on to our main business – which is producing and publishing a print fanzine. It was never intended for it to compete, let alone better, any of the excellent QPR websites that are already out there and providing a far more comprehensive resource than we could ever hope for. But nor was it supposed to be neglected, then virtually abandoned so soon after launching… to become the Marie Celeste of the QPR world.
Frankly, it was embarrassing and not a very good effort on our part.

So here we are with v.2.0 – and a steely determination not to allow it to go the same way as its predecessor. We’ve gone back to the drawing-board to set out not what it is QPR supporters want from a website but what we all want from this particular site.
Basically, that comes down to…
How can I subscribe?
When’s the next edition out?
Which is the latest one?
And how can I contribute?

It’s probably not tempting fate to say there might be just a little bit more than that covered on v.2.0 – but entirely safe to declare we won’t be attempting to emulate Michelango this time around, with only a pot of Dulux and a four-inch brush available!

So a big thank you to Dave Clayton at Deefer Design for doing the design work and setting up and hosting this website. There is still a lot of blanks to fill, so for the time being please ignore all the bits that aren’t intended to be there permanently, or links that apparently don’t work.)
